This Sunday Barcelona could become the European capital of traditional athletics. The organization expects to close today's registration period with a total of 40,000 runners. The public can sign up for free until Saturday at the El Corte Inglés and Hipercor stands, from 10 AM to 10 PM. Registration for athletes with a chip and via Internet ends on Thursday, May 15th, at 10 PM.

La cursa del El Corte Inglés has surpassed the figure of one million, seven thousand runners in all of its history. The organization of the 30th Cursa El Corte Inglés foresees closing registrations for today with 34,000 registrations and if this amount of registrations is maintained the race will renew its leadership in the ranking of traditional European athletics.
