GREETINGS FROM THE MAYOR
During the weekend, the streets, parks and squares of Barcelona become ideal places for sharing, taking part in leisure and free time activities with friends and family. But there are certain days every year that are very special, because these public spaces become the scenario for sporting events and, whether we participate actively or enjoy them as spectators, they touch us, thrill us, cheer us up and make us feel proud of being a part of this city.
One of these occasions is the Cursa del Corte Inglés, that every month of May makes us come out onto the streets and, through sport, makes evident the ability of the citizens to take part in the events Barcelona offers. This year the race reaches it’s 30th edition: it’s clear that it has consolidated itself as one of the most awaited civic and sports events.
