RACE RULES
- 1. The 33rd Cursa El Corte Inglés is a race on foot that is open to everyone that will take place on Sunday, April 3rd, 2011. Registration is free.
- 2. The route, certified by the Catalan Federation of Athletics, is 10.766 km through the streets of Barcelona.
- 3. The start will be on Passeig de Gràcia - Gran Via at 9.30 AM.

4. The are two ways to participate:
ATHLETES WITH A YELLOW CHIP
- 4.1 The athletes with a yellow chip must register via Internet before 10 PM on Thursday, March 31st.
- 4.2 The numbers assigned to athletes with a yellow chip, according to the proven record of each runner, must be collected on April 1st and 2nd at El Corte Inglés on Portal de l'Àngel (Second floor).
- 4.3 The start for athletes with a yellow chip has been created with a box system. Runners access boxes depending on their number. Runners will access the start line from Gran Vía.
ATHLETES WITHOUT A CHIP

4.4 Registrations can be carried out:
- · At any of the El Corte Inglés or Hipercor stores in Catalonia, until 10 PM on Saturday, April 2nd.
- · Vía Internet, until 10 PM on Thursday, March 31st.
- 4.5 Access to the start line will take place from Plaça Catalunya.
- 5. All of the participants will have a number, placed on their chest.
- 6. Minors will only be able to participate with the authorization of one of their parents and under his or her responsibility.
- 7. The only vehicles authorized to follow the race will be those belonging to the organization.
- 8. The finish line will be in Plaça Cataluña and will close at 12 PM.
- 9. Only those runners, in accordance with their category, with or without a chip, who have begun and respected the entire marked route and who cross the finish line, will be included in the classification.
- 10. El Corte Inglés will award 156 trophies to the first three runners classified with a chip and without a chip, in the male and female categories, divided into thirteen age groups. This information is provided on the website. The first runner classified in the male category and the first runner classified in the female category will also obtain the "City of Barcelona Trophy", awarded by the Barcelona City Council.
- 11. All of the participants who finish the race can collect their diploma showing their time, general classification and age group from April 18th to the 30th.
- 12. The sport and municipal authorities the Guardia Urbana, Voluntaris 2000 and the Red Cross also collaborate in the organization of the Cursa El Corte Inglés, .
- 13. Neither El Corte Inglés nor the other organizations mentioned will be responsible for any accidents or illnesses that are caught or worsen during the Cursa, nor for any injuries suffered by the participants or third parties.
- 14. Participating in the race presupposes the acceptance of these rules and of the decisions made by the organization in the event that the rules mentioned have not been taken into account.
